Sharon's course is practical (hands on) in its orientation. It introduces exciting new ways to work the reflex areas. The work is dynamic, easy to apply and can be easily integrated into existing regimes. Teaching strategies include Power Point presentation, DVD, trainer demonstration, charts and models. Comprehensive course notes are provided. Course attendees are NOT required to have a working knowledge of reflexology. However, some formal tuition in reflexology fundamentals would be helpful. The workshop is ideally suited to qualified reflexologists, massage therapists and some other body workers.
ABOUT AYURVEDA AYURVEDA is the traditional healing system of India. It is an ancient, comprehensive healing system that is based on the laws of Nature. Ayurveda utilizes the gifts of Nature to heal. Emphasis is placed on the maintenance of health and vitality. Various forms of bodywork are routinely used to facilitate healing and help maintain homeostasis. Ayurvedic footwork (Padabhyanga) has a very special place within Ayurvedic tradition. It is widely recommended that Padabhyanga be performed as a daily ritual, especially before retiring at night.
ABOUT AYURVEDIC REFLEXOLOGY
The direction of energy (Prana) flow within the body is respected and followed during the application of Ayurvedic Reflexology. The traditional metal kasa bowl adds a new dimension to the procedure. Attendees learn to identify and work vital energy centres known as marmas. Some of the most important marmas used for healing purposes, occur in the limbs. The Ayurvedic Reflexology hand techniques are brisk and stimulating and are described as "kinder on the hands" for the therapist. A full sequence is demonstrated and worked during the workshop. Reflexology website and read what others have said about the SMART
workshops.
